PSP Sports and More tennis season will begin
May 13, 2016 (Friday).
Pre-registration through 4/26/16 will save you $5 per player (see details below).
We also offer an additional $5 discount per player. See if you qualify!
Players can join us at any point in our season (registration cost are the same regardless of when you join).
Please see our PSP SPORTS and MORE guidelines. The guidelines are our Statement of Faith, Home Education Philosophy, Code of Conduct, & Dress Code.
When you register, you sign the statement on the back of the registration form stating that you agree with and will abide by these guidelines.

About Our Tennis Season
We plan to teach:
- Beginning knowledge and rules of the game
- Components of the court
- Strokes (forehand, backhand, & serve)
- Position to receive the ball
- Scoring
We will divide the students into groups which will rotate every 10 minutes (approx.) to learn these skills. It is recommended that you practice between lessons to reinforce what has been taught.

AGE GROUPS/COSTS
We have age groups for:
- Ages 2 through college/adult
For ages 7 and under, one parent must participate with their child(ren). Parents and grandparent play for free.
Tennis is a fast moving game. This means a lot of energy will be expended. It also requires your full attention all the time during each lesson. Although we love teaching our seven and under age group, parents will need to decide if this will be the sport for them right now. Since these are group lessons, all players will need to keep pace with the group.
We are not a drop off program, so one parent always needs to be at the tennis courts while their children are playing (students 18 and older are exempt, obviously).
The costs are:
- All ages $55 per player (2-3 yr olds are 1/2 price)
Pre-registration through 4/26/16 will be $50 per player (2-3 yr olds are 1/2 price). You can pre-register on site at our last Baseball day or by mail (with a postmark no later than 4/26/16). See our Contact Us page for mailing address.
The Tennis registration fee can also be paid on the first day of tennis or anytime during our season.
If you register in person we accept cash, credit card, or check. If you register by mail we only accept checks or money orders.
A note about our fees: Our fees are designed to pay our expenses and we work to keep them as low as possible. If cost becomes an issue, please contact us for different options (payments, pay what you can, even free). We are here to support private Christian homeschool families!

When are Practices?
PSP Sports and More tennis season will begin May 13, 2015 (Friday).
All Ages – Tuesdays & Fridays:
- 6 PM – 8 PM (younger players will not play the full time)
Dates For All Ages:
- May 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, 2016 (Fridays). The 24th and 27th will be our game days.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
What kind of equipment do I need for my student to play?

- Every player MUST have a tennis racket (see above document, under “Tennis Racket” on how to determine the correct size).
There is some used equipment/clothing available for rent, first-come, first-serve. We will have all rental items available at our last baseball practice (April 24), as well as at the first tennis practice. We are looking for a new or used (in good working order) tennis ball machine. If you have one, or know of someone who would like to donate one to a good cause, contact us at 760 515-2572. Do you have tennis rackets in good condition that you no longer use? Donate them to PSP Sports And More for our rentals.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
It takes a lot of work to run PSP Sports And More and we could not do it without volunteers. We need your help!
- We are looking for qualified head coaches and willing assistant coaches
If you are interested in helping out read on:
Coaches Needed
We need volunteer head and assistant coaches. Would you like to coach your son or daughter? We need coaches for tennis as well as assistant coaches. We always encourage the parents to play at practices! If you have never coached or don’t know the rules of tennis, we’ll teach you or place you with a more experienced coach. Please let us know, ASAP by phone or email if you are interested in helping as an assistant or head coach. Children of head coaches play for free.
