ABOUT
PSP Sports And More is excited to announce this 1 semester class. The class is geared for high school through adults, but all ages are welcome.
What is Christian Apologetics: The discipline that deals with a rational defense of Christian faith. It comes from the Greek word apologia which means to give a reason or defense. Apologetics and Evangelism are very closely related; in essence, Evangelism is the “What” and Apologetics is the “Why” of our Christian faith. We will be looking at various approaches to defending the Christian faith, including Classical, Experiential, Historical, as well as dealing with a Modern and Postmodern society. All of this theology and understanding will be approached prayerfully, as Paul prayed for the the church at Ephesus:
Ephesians 1:17–18 (NKJV) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints…
It is God, through the Holy Spirit, who gives us revelation knowledge!
This semester we will be studying the TrueU material from Focus on the Family about Who is Jesus .
This is the publishers description of the course: Who Is Jesus, Really?–number three in the TrueU video series–is a ten-lesson DVD for teens and college students focusing on the evidence for Jesus himself. Hosted and taught by Del Tackett, from Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project, this product can be used as a small group or individual study to give students the confidence to speak about their faith, and to defend the existence and identity of Christ. It features strong historical evidence by demonstrating the validity of the key figures involved in Jesus’ trial and crucifixion, and a compelling argument for His divinity. The lessons delve into topics like Jesus birth, life, death, and resurrection; and questions like, Is Jesus the only way to God? This volume also features other key experts like Lee Strobel, Michael Farris, Gary Habermas, Louis Lapides, and Greg Koukl. It’s sure to provide students with Biblical facts and evidence that corroborate Jesus’ life and divinity, and equip them to stand strong in their faith when the tough questions come at them.

CLASSES/AGE GROUPS
We are gearing this class for high school age students (9th-12th grade) through adult, however all ages are welcome. This class gives the student the equivalent of one-half year high school Bible.

Parents are responsible for providing/purchasing books for their students and grading the course. It is recommended for each student to have a Discussion Guide for this course (approx. cost of $9).
